Good to see Viva Frei finally on the Duran. One of the best law vlogs on the Internet.
I suspect he’s only here on compilation. In any case I agree. Between himself, Robert Barnes and Leonard French amongst others you tend to get a better perspective on current events. For all their opinion they still give an objective view based on fact and the rules of the game, something sorely lacking in discourse these days. Another lawyer worth occassionally watching is Lionel. He can get a bit kooky at times but he’s generally fair in his view.
Recusal? He should be in prison. He has done huge harm to the traditional American system of law and order. He is corrupt, trading in his career in order to cover up the greatest scandal in US history – an attempted illegal overthrow of the President of the United States. He has trampled on the Constitution, destroyed the process of jurisprudence and knowingly caused an innocent man to be imprisoned. Judge Sullivan is a criminal.
Clearly we are waaaaayyyyyyyyy beyond the “rule of law.” We left that behind us at least several years ago. It’s a challenge to integrate that conceptually; however, it’s all together something else to experience it viscerally. What with state governors issuing Covid-19 “emergency rules” the effect of which is to collapse what was always the questionable viability of the US “service economy” following the 2008 rescue of Wall Street too-big-to-fail-too-big to-jail globally important BIS broker-dealer subsidiaries, we have entered the full-on daylight dismantling of the US sovereign republic.
