This is a great discussion between two of the most experienced and best informed geopolitical experts in the world. It is an intellectual feast to listen to it in these fascinating and complex times. I am left with the feeling that the war madness is fading and peace may be breaking out, both in Europe and the United States. Trump has said some things that make sense and indicate that reality may be dawning on him. Asked by one reporter how he can morally justify the diesel deal with Russia when “Russia invaded Ukraine”, he responded that the reasons for the invasion were not so clear cut, and he knew the details, which he would release later. He may well also understand what a disaster an attack on Iran would be. Perhaps it is Putin himself who enlightened him. Of course, if Trump is beginning to believe Putin, that makes him a Putin puppet, but maybe Trump is beyond trying to prove he isn’t by now. He is desperate, and peace may be his only hope. Meanwhile, both Putin and Xi are making nice with Trump, inviting him to all kinds of big events, trying to keep him happy and less inclined to do something incredibly stupid. If Trump loses so badly in the midterms that he faces not only impeachment in the House but conviction in the Senate and removal from office, he may try to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807, assume dictatorial powers and annul the election. I doubt if the American people would let him get away with this. Another possibility is that his Zionist tech buddies could hack the results in key races. Trump has long advocated paper ballots, and I think he is very right about that. The Democrats will use their own ways of cheating, such as ballot box stuffing, voting dead people and the like. Those who are bent on revenge and hoping that Trump will be impeached and removed from office may not be considering the fact that the Democrats are worse warmongers than Trump. In Europe, we are also seeing the Ukraine war becoming more and more unpopular. Europeans are sick of seeing their money going into the pockets of Zelensky and the Banderites. Their leaders’ popularity is even lower than Trump’s. Revolution is in the air.
