Russia is mirroring what ukraine military is moving into the donbass area.
It is a common sense move by Russia to keep kiev from pursuiting additional crimes against humanity.
An attack by Ukraine could easily lead to WWIII and I sincerely believe some there wish it.
And with idiot generals like that Hodges and others, it could happen in the blinken of an eye.

Interesting article. The one point the DC leaders are missing is that the US military is basically led by civilians. They may have General ranks but except for the -get your card stamped- time in a combat area (far from any real combat), they are basically civilians playing at being a soldier. So what exactly does Ukraine want? For the Luhansk and Donetsk Peoples’ republics to be brought back under Kiev “authorities” control? For what reason? So that the US can build more military bases along Russia’s western border? The US SAYS it doesn’t want a war in Ukraine, but I seriously doubt the truth of this. When did the US not want a war? The present ‘true’ leadership of Ukraine is composed of fascist barbarians, whose ideologies serve to harden their behavior much as is the situation with ISIS. al Qaeda et.al.
What do they want? To fulfill their barbarian instincts, no matter the odds and no matter the consequences, to them or anyone else. Avoid them like the plague and if not possible, do the next best thing.

Ukraine’s been an independent state for 30 years now. What could possibly justify their fascist behavior now? It’s a mystery to me.
Simple…in all of its 30 years of independence, Ukraine’s effectively been a failed state and it’s always easier to blame someone else for your failings than yourself.

The question is not what Ukraine wants. Unfortunately, for the time being, the question is what does Zelenski’s puppet master and his gang want. One thing is more money from the IMF to put in their pockets. Another is more zionist influence in Ukraine. Not very much longer.

The IMF paid Ukraine’s gas bill when it defaulted on a $3 billion payment to Russia. Ukraine also diverted (stole) Russian gas that was intended for Europe. One gang after another, including the zionist gang.

When the patchwork quilt of republics of the USSR so quickly unraveled, various dangling threads were left. Chechnya, S. Ossetia, Abkhazia, Nag-Khar, Crimea. Recognizing that such a political implosion would naturally leave much unresolved, a ‘normal’ world order would have dealt with those issues in a judicious, fair and just manner but in every one of those unresolved points of contention other than Nag-Khar (so it seems), the US stepped in to manipulate the outcomes, and not short of fomenting civil war, in every case to the disadvantage of Russia. Russia is moving the troops to be able to quickly move into Ukraine when Zelenski and his gang is removed from power and chaos threatens to break out. The last thing Russia wants is chaos in Ukraine. Most people, especially in eastern Ukraine will welcome them with open arms. And the first thing they will do is to end the silly C-19 bullshit and get the ukrainian economy moving again.

One problem when analysing the situation in Donbas, it´s always done from a western perspective. It´s difficult to take in to account the Russian perspective.
I believe Russia has a totally different long time planning for Ukraine, and have had that since 2014. SWIFT, Import substitute, military development etc , gives a hint.
Sooner or later a big chunk of Ukrainian soil will be returned to mother Russia. I hope.
