I think Tucker is starting to see the same thing I, and a few others are starting to really see. The left/right paradigm in the modern west is a lie, designed by those that really have their hands on the levers, to divide us, and prevent meaningful grass-roots push-back against the plans they have for global totalitarian rule. Left and right doesn’t make much sense any more. A better prism is collectivists and individualists where collectivists believe rights are granted to the people by the state. Think fascism and communism. Unfortunately, individualists are in the minority and that’s where the problems begin.
Collectivist vs Individualist is a just a hollow dichotomy, mostly used by youtube commentators who want to make some money through Patreon and Paypal.
Also, your representation of what collectivists believe is a straw man. A society can’t be maintained on the whim of one man, a majority needs to exist otherwise the society falls apart. When people break away to form their own society, that means they don’t agree with the people who formed the state, and they’re leaving somewhere else to form their own state that will actually represent their views and concerns.
You’re using a different definition. Individualist in this context is a person who believes they are born with certain rights and they grant certain authority to the state for the purpose of protecting those rights. People not states are sovereign. I’m certainly not talking about breaking away to form a new state.

Tucker is pretty thorough researching his stuff and I’m with him on this one. A lot of strange bedfellows are cropping up in U.S. politics these days. Conservatives have always been strong on individual rights and freedoms but the collectivization arising from post-modern neoliberalism suits the plutocracy more.
When you say conservatives you can’t possibly be referring to republican politicians and their media commentators? One name should suffice: BIll O’reilly.
‘Controlled Opposition’ was never more meaningful than today. Divide and Rule on the other hand really is the order of the day. Those of us who believe in freedom are suckers if we fall into the trap of arguing among ourselves about non-essentials, while our rulers laugh from the sidelines.
