I was always a ‘middle-grounder’, rather than a ‘denier’ – until I discovered the extent of the dishonesty.
The climate change “emergency” is fake news. Many will roll their eyes in exasperation at the conspiratorial bombastry of yet another “denier”. But for years I have been a plastic recycling, polar bear cooing middle-grounder. In fact, Aristotle would probably turn in his grave at the logical fallaciousness of my long-held presumption that the truth must lie somewhere between those two mutually loathing opposites – Scepticism and Armageddon.
But as the doom-mongering acquires the rubber-stamped smell of instutionalised illness, it is impossible to ignore that the “woke” are the new “slept” – too deep in their sugar coma of confected hysteria to realise they are being duped by disinformation.
Before I explain why the climate “emergency” is the most electrifyingly effective propaganda exercise of the 21st century, two clarifications. I have no fight to pick with glaring evidential realities: surface records clearly show the planet is getting warmer. Nor do I have a culture war-bloodied axe to grind with the fundamental chemistry: carbon dioxide indisputably contributes to the greenhouse effect. But I do take issue with how the mainstream debate has become an insult to both the public’s intelligence and basic science.

Thank god for little Greta! If she had not been born, we should have invented her. This silly little thing has become a great source for all sorts of jokes, puns, parody and satire. I love all those Greta articles on the DURAN. Best of all are the comment sections under each of them. A riot!
The focus on Thunberg concerns me. She is just a straw man (straw girl?? LOL) and is shifting the focus from where it should be, namely that the so-called science itself is spurious, and this can EASILY be exposed. For instance, the link that I posted to the Michael Mann/Tim Ball libel case, this story gets virtually ZERO interest, while Greta the goofball sucks up all the oxygen in the room. In accepting those two points: “surface records show the planet is getting warmer” and ” the fundamental chemistry of CO2 contributing to the greenhouse effect”, perhaps you should apply the same critical faculties that serve you so well on other issues. Surface records are dependent upon the quality of the records, particularly when the total change of 0.8 degrees Celsius over a century is so small relative to the accuracy of the measurement instruments. Nicholas, first rate job putting the ACTUAL science in a format that is easily read and understood. And this dovetails perfectly with what I have uncovered in my own search for the truth. A couple points to add, graphs on the NOAA website (where the IPCC carefully cherry-picks much of their “data”) shows a steady decline in the overall temperature of the continental United States since 2016, which is consistent with the effects of decreasing sun spot activity observed by NASA over the same time frame, and also the potentially land-mark libel case brought by Michael Mann against Canadian climate… Read more »
LOL. So human activity has no effect on the climate? Humans contribute to producing heat and using water. Humans contribute to water vapor production. The world climate is an open system, not a closed one. Lots of things that hold true in the micro realm don’t hold true in the macro. But to say that there is no need for huge change and for the need to replace antiquated tech with new tech is bogus. Absolute truth. For me personally, my child was born in 2009, same year WikiLeaks released the University of East Anglia leaks (as usual, leaks not “hack”). Of course as a new parent, I read them, in full. Took me days, but it was absolutely clear, from the content of leaked emails coming from THE PRO SIDE, that THEY were freaking out because the empirical evidence that THEY HAD was contradicting the climate change narrative, and they were openly discussing how to cover that up, and control the public narrative, they were openly discussing how to suppress contradicting scientific evidence, how… Read more »
