Patrushev might effectively take on a job sharing role with Russian President, at least performing duties delegated by Putin. He is similar age to Putin, and both have an immense understanding and trust of each other tracing back to their days in KGB. The role of Russian President has become a very demanding one , especially since the SMO. Putin will be 72 this year and Patrushev will be 73. Job sharing, no matter how Patrushev’s role is designated, would seem a logical solution .
