CASH IS FREEDOM
USE IT OR LOSE IT!
said the leaflet. I saw it stuck to a notice board in a local supermarket, and I saw another posted in the street. At least one local shop hasn’t yet got the message and isn’t accepting cash at all. I’ve seen restaurants like this, although not Chinese restaurants. I’ve no doubt the young woman who serves in my local Chinese restaurant has never been to China, but Chinese the world over know better than anyone else what tyranny means; they have relatives, and unlike many Westerners they remember the past and are intent on not repeating it.
In Oxford, ordinary people are protesting against what is set to become a testing ground for fifteen minute cities. If you think they are part of a conspiracy theory about the World Economic Forum, visit the dedicated website and think again.
The Oxford “experiment” or whatever else you want to call it is being dressed up as a traffic reduction plan. Yeah, right, a plan that encourages or forces residents to ditch their cars by making them difficult to use and expensive to run. A similar plan for Paris has been running for over a year. It must be stressed that it isn’t a bad idea to encourage people to use cars less and to provide easy access to everything they need in their neighbourhoods, especially for people who have limited mobility, like the elderly and the disabled, but when does encouragement become compulsion?
On both sides of the Atlantic, people are fighting back against masking and vaccination mandates. And they are winning. Although most won’t let on, now many politicians realise how insane these are. As Dan Bongino has pointed out, it wasn’t the masking they wanted but the mandates, the power to make YOU comply and for the state to trample all over you if you refuse. Or to cut off your finances and allow you to starve if they ever get these programmable digital currencies through the world’s parliaments. You think that is hyperbole? In Canada the Government of Justin Trudeau – the dude who likened protesting trucker to Nazis – has already murdered thirty thousand people, only they call it euthanasia. Welcome to your brave new world, or maybe not just yet…

I must be behind in current events. Why are local shops not accepting cash?
Some are card only. This caught on big time during the lockdowns. A lot of people also pay by phone.
