Stop The War Demonstration In London This Saturday

The extreme left may be idiots and at times downright mendacious, but it is a sad fact that on this side of The Pond and most of America it is only the left who are calling to stop this madness in Ukraine. When Marjorie Taylor Greene called out the Biden Administration, she was branded a Russian puppet. Tulsi Gabbard has also been outspoken about US support for the conflict and has voiced her concerns on the Tucker Carlson show, which is one of the many reasons anti-American outfits like the ADL hate Tucker.

With the bombing of the Nord Stream pipelines, the US is as good as at war with Russia if it were not already. The self-styled fact checkers have been having a field day with this. Snopes has published a long article about the claim of Seymour Hersch that the White House was behind the bombing; the fact Biden claimed months before that “We” would bring an end to Nord Stream 2 is dismissed as…well, something. So a man tells his wife if she leaves him he will kill her, she leaves him the following week, and a week later she is killed when her car brakes fail. What would any detective worthy of the name think?

Obviously the bombing of Nord Stream must have been carried out by some government agency. Who else would have the capability? The claim that Russia was behind it is beneath contempt. Who does Stop The War think bombed the pipeline? The answer is they don’t care, nor do they care who is right or wrong about the Russian invasion of Ukraine; they want first and foremost to halt the war if only by a temporary ceasefire. Stop now and talk. Later, we will see. We should support them in this endeavour.

The national demonstration is being held from midday at Portland Place – the home of the BBC. On March 1, there will be another demonstration, this time in Glasgow at 5.30pm. Sundry local events are advertised on its website, and it also has a YouTube channel which contains an increasing number of videos on this increasingly insane conflict.
