Parents lose custody of child over refusal to allow sex change

An Ohio family has been split up by that state’s court system because the parents do not want their daughter to continue with her sick thinking and get a sex change procedure, transforming herself into something vaguely resembling a man.

That is what this story should read, because that is what has happened. However, the ephemeral language of soft political correctness muddies the issue even when conservative leaning press discusses it.

To be blunt, this girl wants to be made into a boy, and her parents think she is too young to make such a decision. The Ohio Court system sided with the 17 year old (a minor) and stripped the parents of custody over their daughter, placing her with her fuzzy-minded grandparents, who will let her mutilate herself and feed her illness, rather than face it.

This is unpopular language, isn’t it? Were it not for the fact that most people who read Red Pill Times probably want to read things in direct, reality-based language, we would get a lot of exploding heads and hate mail. In fact, we still might!

But the crux of what has happened is what it is, regardless of the words we use. To address what happened in a bit more detail, the Daily Wire reported that this seventeen year old girl (biologically female) identifies as a boy and claims she has suicidal thoughts over her parents’ lack of support for her ‘transgenderism’.  Specifically, they will not call her by her male name that she chose for herself. The parents argument is very simple. As a 17-year old, they believe that she is “not even close to being able to make such a life-altering decision at this time.”

Ohio, like the rest of the United States, establishes the “age of majority” as 18. This is when someone can legally be considered an adult. There are no specified age of emancipation laws or consent to medical treatment laws listed for minors, according to the statelaws.findlaw.com site.

The story here is that this girl only needs to wait until she is legal age, and then she can do what she wants without parental consent. But the state sided with her because this is a matter of sex, and sexual preference or aberration has become the new and rather unholy grail of social and political life. Only a few years ago this kind of court behavior would be unthinkable. A decade or two ago the incidence of teens and children even thinking of changing who they are to fit their ideas was unthinkable. But apparently the liberal left think that absolute freedom with regard to sexual matters (except for chastity, of course) is sacred and must be upheld, and this has condemned this young lady to the consequences of her own actions.

The political will on this matter is so strong that even the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) fifth edition, the psychiatric field’s “go to” reference for psychological and mental disorder cataloguing, has changed the definition of this problem to a rather neutral “gender dysphoria” rather than “gender identity disorder” which is closer to the truth. The offensive word was “disorder” and this got pounded away by the libertine left, for sure.

Closer still is the fact that in the absence of traditional family values, which themselves are founded and supported by the recognition of and trust in God, there is no objective set of founding principles for people to refer to when dealing with these problems.  In this way, a rather severe problem has become something to appease rather than confront and heal.

This is important, because the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s office used the parents’ Christian faith against them. From Daily Wire:

Donald Clancy of the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office argued that the reason why the parents don’t want their child to receive hormone replacement therapy is because it is also against their religious beliefs,” reports CNN.

“Father testified that any kind of transition at all would go against his core beliefs and allowing the child to transition would be akin to him taking his heart out of his chest and placing it on the table,” said Clancy in his closing argument, according to a transcript.

This poor girl following the urge and thoughts to become made something like a man is no different than the voices in Nikolas Cruz head telling him how to conduct the massacre in a Parkland, Florida high school.

Both of these young people could have been helped and truly healed if treated according to the standards which are always true, whether we choose to believe them or not. But now, they are left to their own devices, and even the definition of what is mentally “healthy” has become changed into the coercion to accept and support self-destructive thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

The language of the mainstream media has become exceedingly fuzzy on the matter of sex. Thankfully, we at Red Pill are not the mainstream media, so we are not going to be fuzzy about this matter at all. We believe that through dealing with things directly and honestly, and in a rather traditional and honest manner, we might expose the fuzzy delusions of liberal and cultural Marxism and in this case, libertine craziness that is taking place, that we might realize it and bring it to a stop.
