NATO is as useless as the Warsaw Pact. On paper both appeared to be strong but in reality both rely on one entity to carry the burden. In the Warsaw Pact it was the Soviet Union and in NATO it’s the US. A paper prepared by an academic who teaches at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, said that the navies of Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Albania and Montenegro all find it very difficult to increase spending on their militaries because they are poor. “Show of force” is not exactly the wording that comes to mind. Overweight, carrying glasses because of short-sightedness, hardly able to walk with a straight tailbone, one out of three women.
