US scraps Black Sea deployment of warships amid tensions

The U.S. has called off a plan to send two warships to the Black Sea amid tensions between Russia and Ukraine, Turkish diplomatic sources said Wednesday. The sources noted that the U.S. Embassy had informed Turkish authorities about the matter. Both deployments, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, have been canceled and Ankara has not been informed of plans to reschedule.

Do not see any confirmation of this report anywhere other than this Daily Sabah article you posted.

The western mainstream media tends to not report on happenings that make the US appear in a less than glorious light. The US had no business at all sending warships into the Black Sea, and our Presstitutes didn’t want to report that they were apparently forced to retreat “tail between their legs”, so to speak. The Daily Sabah would be the one paper that couldn’t well not report it, as these US vessels sailed, highly visible for all to see, through the Bosphorus in the city of Istanbul.

Considering the MSM’s penchant for censoring, that’s good indication that it’s true.

Stop besmirching my grandpa’s reputation. He was an independent editor, dedicated to speaking the truth. Anything else is Russian propaganda.

Mike – indeed. I would even go one farther and say that if the western media doesn’t report it, it must be true, or at least it’s far more likely than not that it is true. Actually, on other topics I have read some of the same propaganda in the Daily Sabah that NYT, WaPo, CNN etc. publish. But as the Turks don’t don’t like US interference in Turkey, this one was the exception.

Implement the Minsk agreements. Simple. If the Ukrainian nationalists ‘hold the cards’ and prevent it, then honestly acknowledge that reality & deal with it.

Not with Zelenski as president. None of the Donbass leaders will talk to a clown.

Poroshenko was at least as corrupt as Yanukovych but in the CIA’s pocket. Then came Zelensky, who was elected as a ‘non-corrupt’ entity. The prevailing methodology of Ukrainian politics (and one might say American lately) is, corrupt or not at entry, it never takes long to complete the corruption process.

Brilliant, Russia. US, UK, and Ukraine properly check-mated. Just desserts. Poking the bear is not a smart thing to do. I still don’t understand why Zelensky thought it was a good idea to move troops to the border. Did he assume that the US and Nato would pile into Ukraine to support him? Or did they push him to do this? If so, was this a miscalculation or was it a deliberate move to put Ukraine between a rock and a hard place where backing down means losing face with a political crisis to follow, and advancing means total defeat?… Read more »

Zelensky is desperate. His support in Ukraine is zero. He has the military, the oligarchs and the people against him. His wife is far more popular than him (among women). The new lockdown and his stunt threatening war are acts of desperation, hoping to join NATO, the EU or some other club where he can get a job. He is finished.

You know the funny thing is all the so-called “experts” analyzing Ukraine from their armchairs in London or the U.S. never think of the simple rule: follow the money. Everything that happened in Ukraine after 2014 was all about money. Where did the Bidens’ millions come from ? Ukraine. Where did ukrainian money from the shitty loans forced upon the Ukraine banks go to ? The U.S. clans and predators. They couldn’t care less about a shitty country they robbed to the bones that is now finally standing up against them and their “land reforms” which would have been their… Read more »

What happened to Ukraine’s gold reserves that were secretly loaded into a US aircraft in the dead of night and flown to New York City in March 2014 “for safe keeping”? The confiscation was videotaped and posted on YouTube, but it is no longer there. Funny thing that.

Just as in Nazi Germany, as soon as the flood gates were opened, the Ukrainian neo-nazi have-nots lined up to swear allegiance, murder the opposition and grab the money flow.

Russia Shuts Ukraine’s Military Access To Black Sea
It was announced Thursday that Russia will close off the Kerch Strait to all foreign warships for six months amid rising Ukraine tensions, and after the US threatened to send additional warships to the area. The Kerch Strait is the vital, narrow waterway connecting the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, and which importantly connects southern Russia to “annexed” Crimea.
