While this speech would have gone some way towards compounding the vengeful sentiment held towards JFK, this was not the speech that sealed his fate. His speech in which he states; ”The very word secrecy is repugnant in a free and open society etc” and ten days before his murder his words included; ”Before I leave office, I must inform the citizen of his plight” were more harmful to him than speaking of world peace. ”Especially today, U.S leaders are not allowed to speak of world peace”? exactly, his executive order 11110, his secret societies speech and the demand for shutting down Dimona (stated by Ghadaffy) sealed his fate. The mafia didnt disappear, it merged with the Deep State. Especially chief mobster Meyer Lansky ran the OP.
I think that the Deep State merged with the Mafia during the second world war. That relationship was mature by the time Kennedy took office.
His mistake was that he believed he was in charge as President. He was not.
