The level of delusion in the administration in the US is staggering and, as you both say, like small children, they have lost interest in the Ukraine project because it did not yield the returns they had hoped. If Russia stays exactly where it is in East Ukraine, they will still be sitting on the billions of dollars worth of rare earth minerals, oil, gas, salt, you name it, that is under the Donbass.
