This just goes to show how the big tech companies are vulnerable when taken off air. Now, all countries must ban them before elections, that way, more people can be assured of less bias in reporting events.

You are right about that!! But only the fact that it is a good thing that Big Tech gets opposition! But when you look at it from the view of a large part of the (young) ugandan population, Facebook is one of the few means by which they can express their views. In the past the opposition leader Bobby Wine was harassed by the current government for having legitimate objections to Museveni. The comments expressed by Alex did not address these facts enough. Especially The Duran should know that things are not always what they look like on the outside.… Read more »

FB, Twitter, Google are monopolistic service conglomerates and NO country on this globe should allow them to influence political processes, select contents, censor free speach etc. There is high demand to adjust constitutions and laws worldwide!
