As regards the no-show of military equipment at the parade….whereas the West wanted to analyse……….

As a youngster I played a good bit of draw poker for substantial stakes. The key moment was when the dealer asked the players how many cards they wanted to exchange….as this told nearly everything about what cards they held.

But when a player just said “No cards, thank you.” the effect was electric…..did it mean he was 100% bluffing…..or did it mean he held a straight flush?

Putin is standing pat. No cards thank you….make of it what you like.

I can understand Rishi Sunak wanting to get away from being the E.U.’s post-Brexit whipping boy. Like BoJo, he has used the Ukraine war to suck up to the E.U. But sending long-range missiles to Ukraine is 1. a dangerous escalation of the war and 2. a direct provocation to Putin and Russia. He would have been better off just slapping Putin’s face.
