Luke is usually good but on this he totally is wrong. What he is seeing in Venezuela is the US strangulation of a nation. This is the American program to stamp out the socialism of Chavez, not the failure of socialism itself. The US strangles many nations like this. It wants oil dictatorships all over the world.

Don’t talk bull! In many places in the US situation not much different…and this in a supposedly ‘democratic’ nation. What the US needs IS socialism and much less of the killer capitalism. Yes, Venezuela is suffering a lot…and the US has contributed more than it’s fair share to create this situation.
No, Socialism doesn’t end where Socialism ends…Take a good look at the ‘socialist’ Scandinavian countries. The difference? The Yanx have not interfered in their governments – as much as the Yanx would like.
Scandinavian countries are not socialist in full extend. Just yet.
They are slowly and painfully becoming one.
To understand the full “joy” of living in the socialist country, you have to actually live in such country.
