Sorry gents, but some problems cannot be solved by diplomacy. In this case, Hamas is committed to the destruction of Israel…so how does one deal with that? This is somewhat similar to Ukraine, where the horrific government there was hell-bent to rid the country of Russian-speakers. I guess Russia could have continued ‘negotiating’, while the Ukrainians took over their land…but they understandably concluded that was not going to work.

I earn approximately $13,000 a month working part-time. I was curious to learn more after hearing from multiple people about the amount of money they were able to make online. Well, it all happened and totally bs-11 changed my life. Everyone must now use this website to try out this job.

By negotiating in sincerity with other parties, lets say one that does not wish to destroy the modern state Israel , then you empower that party as potential representatives of their people.
There was a time in recent Palestinian history concerning a state of Istrael, when Hamas did not exist. Why did it come into existence, and why was an alternative party not viable already? Is it because ‘all palestinaians are animals’?

To answer your questions. Hamas was created by Israel during the Cold War as they were strongly anti-Communist. As far as a viable party, there was one in Gaza, Fatah (Arafat’s party). Hamas didn’t feel like running for election, so they started a civil war in Gaza, which they won in 2007. Since then, no elections. As to whether all, or even most, Palestinians are ‘animals’, one can say look at the pictures from last weekend, but I disagree, that wasn’t “all Palestinians”, that was Hamas, and the fact that Hamas won’t put themselves up for a vote says something… Read more »

There is a parallel between the war in Ukraine and in Palestine. In Ukraine, Putin’s interests were ignored for decades. In Palestine, their interests are likewise ignored. The root cause is the same. The arrogance and narcissism of the U.S. State Department which is dominated by neocons drives unrest and war around the world.

Israeli, it seems to me, benefited greatly from 911. For one thing the seven countries in 5 years were Israel’s enemies. Recall that Iraq in the first Gulf war was shooting Scud missiles into Israel.

Drone warfare is a game changer, in many ways, it levels the playing field. When you add to that, the development of hypersonic missiles, then the vulnerability of once dominant weapons systems like surface ships, and the costs to replace them make them basically obsolete. The US and NATO have bullied the rest of the world for decades, and now a price will have to be paid for that. We are hated by much of the world, that now have the means to strike back at us for what we have done to them.

Very quick were all Israeli spokepersons to assign the cutting off of water, and deprival of food to Gaza. That speech belies the Israeli state approach toward all Paestinaians, within a general agenda. All ‘Palestinaians are animals’ they inform us. No point in stopping at apprehension of the discontent fighters. They are all discontents animals. Of course we know not all animals are dangerous (E.G.mice? ), but nontheless the importance of designating an animal as such, is to treat them other than being human. I would not converse with a mouse or a tiger, nor enter into contracts, or expect… Read more »

Gentlemen ……. the role of Turkey in this mess . Erdogan doesnt like Gaza being bombed, is it bluster on his part to side with Palestine if bombing leads to genocide. Will NATO crack up under this pressure…….?.

Thank you Jeffrey for bringing some sense and astute analysis to The Duran, which on the subject of this Israeli-Palestinian war, was severely missing.

Thanks very much for this calm analysis, we are so lucky still to have these sane voices in a world that it becoming increasingly more hysterical and less level-headed.
