She was certainly a Stasi informer, but the conclusion is not based on this photo. Her Stasi Dossier disappeared and came probably in US custody. There was a lengthy Spiegel sham-article on this subject many years ago. It ended in purpose unconclusively, but it added a naked photo of hers shot in Romania, which must have had a Stasi dossier provenance, probably to remind her WHO pulls the strings. All leaders of former eastern block were groomed by intelligence years in advance before the 1989 “counterrevolutions”. The restoration of capitalism was supposed to be temporary.
Hmm. I doubt this. I know the East fairly well, since I was born there. And I know the Eastern society from both sides, of the privileged and the opposition. At the end there was, with the exception of the elderly, or those losing their privileges after the “Wende”, a total loss of any form of ideological motivation. Mrs Merkel was a person lacking any form of idealistic motivation. Her only motivation was arrivism. That characterized her entire latter political career: the lack of whatever of guiding principles. The perfect tool later for the CIA.
In East Germany it was more complicated because of the unification.
I lived in Germany all the time since even before the unification.
The communist plan failed in the case of GDR, I guess murder of Alfred Herrhausen by the British intelligence has something to do with that. But it is going on in other post communist countries. Just look on the background of the ruling class. All connected to communist intelligence. They are acting obedient until the right time.
This has nothing to do with communism, but with the survival instinct of political elites. Who once learned to lie, will never forget how to, independently of the political label unser which one had started to do this.
