Despite the rather amusing incestuous propaganda lovefest between Zaslav’s CNN and ISIS — replete with histrionics and bad acting that might have done Ed Wood proud — let’s address some challenges that Syria now must confront, and how this might go.
Now, with thirty-thousand presumably unemployed terrorists at large in Syria, subsequent to the success of the CIA/AMAN/Turkic coup, the question is how will these terrorists (now labeled “rebels”) be funded? By whom? And what sort of ‘government’ will Blinken /US State attempt to install? An instant “democracy”? Just a reminder that the purple fingers of Iraq have not worked out very well.
And will such US funding rely on Syria’s (hard) gold reserves? Syria’s gold reserves are estimated to be approximately 25.82 tonnes, meaning metric tonnes, where 1000 kilos equate to 2,205 pounds in US standard terms, + 10% for troy ounces.
So 25.82 tonnes = 52,285.5 lbs in gold reserves, or 836,568 ounces plus ten percent for troy ounces. That equates to about $2.3 Bn+ US in gold. Even at today’s depreciation regarding a largely debased $ US that’s still some funding, and not something that the US Vile Empire will just let go as ‘oh well’.. And $2.3 Bn US will purchase plenty of head-chopping resources for the head-choppers ball.
So … where is Syria’s gold? In whose hands? Is the gold still there? To fly that amount of gold out of the country would take many weeks of organization and many flight loads, where a land-based operation is out of the question. And according to the western media — with the caveat that the western incorporated media cannot ever be believed — the Syrian Central Bank was not touched by what the US Empire now calls, “the rebels”.
Syria central bank vaults left unscathed by Damascus looters, sources say
The vaults in Syria’s central bank were left unscathed by looters in the turmoil that briefly engulfed the capital Damascus after the overthrow of president Bashar al-Assad, a senior business leader and three other sources told Reuters.
Based on recent declines in gold’s LBMA spot price, even if the gold has not been sold by Antony Blinken and his Looters Department yet, gold traders are already factoring in a sale of Syria’s hard gold reserves to fund the hegemon’s desires in Syria.
Now consider that Qatar’s self-interest in its natural gas trade has caused Qatar to prevail as one primary backer of takfiri terror (ie ISIS) for many years, in aid of the pipeline wars that largely rule West Asia and the med. Analogous to my article about the US wars for Central Bank gold of five years ago [1] the former United States is now the proud owner of about 25.82 troy tonnes of Syrian gold. It’s hard gold that the former United States can now exploit and commandeer, to underwrite Qatar’s support to HTS and Syria’s new “rebel government”. Also see:
In brief, it’s possible to assume that some funding for the “rebel government” may originate with Qatar underwritten by its erstwhile partner the USA, in aid of the Turkiye-to-Qatar pipeline via Syria. Saudi Arabia will also profit from this new gas pipeline. But the full extent of such funding for the new government is still questionable.
Again, as written before, most ISIS fighters from the Idlib region and elsewhere in Syria are not Syrian people. Sure ‘rebel’ al Jawlani and some are Syrian. But many terrorists were imported to Syria by the CIA, by AMAN (Israel), and by Turkiye. They include Uzbeks (Khorasan) , Turkmen, Afghanis, and CIA-backed mercenaries from Libya, Ghana, Sudan, Somalia, Dagestan and even from the Ukraine. Not to mention from that weird valley in Chechnya, ie Jaish al-Muhajireen wal ansar, the “Caucasus Emirate”, Junud al-Sham and Ajnad al-Kavkaz — just to name a few.
In short, just about any terror mercenaries that DC, Erdogan and Israel’s AMAN could conjure up to send to Syria… with the assistance of Qatar, of course. “Tarkhan the Rodent” and Doku Umarov (now deceased) were typical of this ‘Hussar’ bunch. Note too that these guys – especially the Chechen takfiri terrorists – still pose a definite threat to Russia.
So, now that “Assad is gone” what are these terror groups going to do? And who will they be funded by? Gold looted by the former United States from Syria’s bank vaults and paid out by Qatar? Or by Saudi? Or they’re now going to become farmers and merchants living in peace together? Well. The foregoing about farmers and merchants may be the narrative that card-carrying Deep State David Zaslav of CNN alleges. And assume that Israel/ AMAN will bribe as many of these ISIS terrorists as possible, too, to create havoc in Palestine and Lebanon … and perhaps the same in Iran?
This concept promoted by the west that ISIS (in Syria) are now a new and improved DEI version of the Taliban seems more than strange. At least the Taliban had some cohesion and a long history of working together – the myriad of “rebel groups” in Syria do not. And now the DEI reformed rebels of Syria with all their good graces… will have an efficient and fair government to run? Not even the US has that.
Other than the status of 30K or so ISIS terrorists who now claim to be woke and using correct pronouns — suddenly rootless and ‘off the cards’ unemployed — the other big mystery is Erdogan. Perhaps we can give Erdogan the benefit of the doubt that he did not fully intend to land Russia in the Syrian snake pit, as provoked by the United States, which conspired with Turkiye and Israel to unleash their ISIS dogs on Aleppo.
Turkiye must now fret about Greece too, where Greece is 1000% in the pocket of the CIA / US Vile Empire, and brays together with all the western dogs of war, and that’s needed leverage over Erdogan, the three-timer. He must fret about the Kurds, even if Blinken is making noise about holding the Kurds back. Anyway, Turkiye’s military wants to re-take the Northeast of Syria on behalf of its Ottoman Empire ambitions (among other things) so will be forced to confront the US-Israeli backed and armed Kurds.
Meanwhile the Kurds unrealistically still expect to receive a state spanning part of Iraq and Syria, however the best the Kurds can do is to maintain their current autonomous region of Iraq. Ironically the Kurds have asked Greater Israel to protect them in northeast Syria versus Turkiye, if the former United States will not do so.
In my opinion the US will abandon the Kurds because they are after all a minor player; and it’s in US self-interest to do so, avoiding a direct confrontation with Turkiye. But Turkiye may not progress as far as the Iraq border, where the Kurds will likely have a semi-autonomous region in Syria, linked to their region in Iraq.
Likewise what will Turkiye do about the menace of Greater Israel and its aggression being directly on its border (via Syria) when Israel wasn’t there before? Israel is weak now and over-extended, and needs Turkiye’s oil shipments from Azerbaijan. That seems like good leverage for Erdogan to prevent Israel from objecting to or opposing Turkiye’s coming conquest of Syria’s Northeast.
Which of course leads to Israel itself. While Israel might temporarily moderate its Greater Israel ambitions, the Iran equation is rapidly changing. First, Iran is set to sign a security pact with Russia in January, January 25th to be precise. That’s just after the new US “antiwar president’ — who is being pushed to war with Iran by his donors — is landed in office.
Next, Iran may have finally learned the lesson that all other sovereign nations learned since George W Bush attacked, invaded, and occupied Iraq; the lesson being, that if you really do have nukes, you won’t be attacked, invaded, and occupied by the former United States and its “antiwar presidents”. (As North Korea has long known.)
Then we have Russia’s bases in Syria, presently abandoned, but supposedly untouched by US/Israel, or Turkiye’s terrorists. “The rebels” have indicated they may allow the bases to remain, and even utilized again, at some point. And what actual use would that be for Russia? –is unknown. That is, unless an alliance between HTS and Russia could be accomplished to provide security for the new Syrian regime and its airspace, but this seems unlikely.
And the bases, if allowed to be re-occupied by Russia – would not prevent Israel from doing its dirty deeds, based on the bizarre relationship that exists between Israel and Russia. Believe it or not, many Russians support the idea of Greater Israel for historic, cultural, religious, and personal reasons. So, might the Russian airbase be used to provide security for Iran versus potential US/Israeli aggression? Certainly that will not sit well with the current Yehuditim-led regime in Israel – or many pro-Israel Russians.
In brief, the real question is whether Syria can muster a new functioning government in short order, considering the rag-tag nature of its potential foundation, and US State’s involvement, where US State is incapable of organizing anything long term, except perhaps its own demise. By rather strange platitudes where oxymoron is beyond the pale, and the irony regarding US claims that ISIL is now reformed, is beyond astounding.
In summary, if Syria can muster a government serving its people – unlike the governments that the US forced upon Iraq and Libya – then that will be quite the surprise.
Meanwhile, the Syrian coup provides cover for Israel, where, in regard to Palestine and Lebanon, the former United States, and collective west aid in Israel’s bombing and destruction every day in the Occupied Territories, Gaza, and Lebanon. Just as the US bombed Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos decades ago, resulting in the deaths of civilians. It’s a despicable holocaust that the US and Israel particularly are perpetrating on the people of Lebanon and Palestine, and is no way rehabilitated by the Turkiye, US, and Israeli coup in Syria, of 8 December, 2024..

“The head-choppers ball..”
Good one.
“What’s Next for Syria?”
A partitioned terrorist state, for the country formerly known as Syria in western central Syria.
In the South, Greater Israel.
In the north, Greater Turkey.
In the North East, probably Kurdistan.
The Sunni Muslim Syrians deserve every misery that befalls them, as these traitorous rats sold their country down the river. For what, Shekels and Dollars?
I do feel sorry for the patriotic Syrian Alawites and Christians, who fought against Sunni Islamic terrorism in Syria for years.
But as for the Sunni Islamic Syrians, I hope they all rot in hell!
Hopefully my Country can now send back all the criminal Sunni Syrians, that are here masquerading as ‘Refugees’, selling drugs, living off welfare and all the rest of it.
If the other European countries now send back these Syrian Islamists, to the failed Syrian state, then some good will have came out of this tragedy.
