Tim Tebow does not give up easily, that is why I have a lot of respect for the man. He is true to his convictions and dreams. News came out today from Scottsdale, Arizona that Tebow is still training for another shot at the National Football League.
Tebow was released by the New England Patriots before the start of the 2013 season, but that has not deterred him from making it back to the NFL. Tebow has been working out with other football players in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the Performance Enhancement Professionals gym.
In a statement for local TV crew KSAZ-TV, Tebow said..
“I feel great. I feel the strongest, healthiest, throwing the best I’ve ever have. I’m just really excited about the improvement.”
“One of my favorite quotes is, ‘I don’t know what my future holds, but I know who holds my future.’
“That gives you peace to just continue to work and you go after what your heart desires. When you do that, you don’t have any regrets. I think that’s the best way to live life.”
Tebow is currently an analyst for the SEC Network. He was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida where he helped the Gators win the 2007 and 2009 BCS National Championships.
The former Heisman-winning quarterback led the Broncos on a playoff run in 2011, connecting with Demaryius Thomas on an 80-yard touchdown pass to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime in the Wild Card Round to advance.
The Broncos ended up trading Tebow to the New York Jets following the 2011 season after they picked up Peyton Manning. Tebow was barely used by the Jets, primarily playing on special teams.
During his NFL stint Tebow amassed 17 passing touchdowns in three seasons, including 12 rushing touchdowns.
