The Hegemon’s Great Mistake?

US-Israeli spin that Iran was asking for this attack today, June 13th, and based upon IAEA nonsense, is of course just that: nonsense. And for US-Israel to engineer this strike on Iran based on such nonsense – when US “negotiations” with Iran are set to continue – seems typical of the hubris and arrogance that has beset the United States since the end of World War 2. Meanwhile, the US knew that “Israel” was planning to attack Iran today, and approved the attacks:

See: https://www.timesofisrael.com/us-begins-evacuating-mideast-embassies-army-bases-as-iran-nuclear-talks-come-to-a-head/

Quote from yesterday: “Trump later confirmed that some US personnel are being moved out of the Middle East “because it could be a dangerous place.”

Rubio lied when he said the Trump regime was not involved in the attacks, because tacitly he did know, and the US was involved. [“Admit nothing. Deny everything. Make counter-accusations.”] So the Trump regime did know of the pending Israeli attacks vs Iran, which further underlines that the US empire is logically in rapid, serious, and steep decline. Likewise, with this attack, Israel hopes to save face and appear strong, in defiance of the bloody-nose Israel took in response to its holocaust and genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, which has been under siege by Israel since 2007.

Israel likely used Syrian (+ perhaps Jordanian) and Northern Iraq airspace to strike Iran. A certain risk exists for those countries (Iraq/Syria) going forward, for allowing ‘Israel’ to use Iraqi/Syrian airspace to attack Iran. But right now, Iran must be seen to act quickly, before the atrophied mind of the western public is programmed to believe that Iran begged for this attack from Israel.

On October 1st 2024, Iran retaliated versus Israel for Israeli aggression when Israel assassinated key leaders of the resistance in Iran, and elsewhere, previously. But by the time Iran retaliated, most of the west’s public had no idea why, and probably did not care, since the damage to Israel went largely unreported in the west.

Now, the western media will work very hard to portray Israel as being plucky and brave, and that Israel acted wisely via this pre-emptive attack on Iran. Despite the general outrage about Israel’s unprovoked aggression on Iran (at least among informed opinion) it’s clear that the Kahanists / settlers who own and operate Israel – and Wall Street’s MIC – feel they have an advantage here, at this time. In a prima facie tactical sense, perhaps that’s true. But Iran is not without options.

As dramatic as it would be alarming, Iran might target Dimona (Israel’s nuclear weapons repository and facility) with a swarm of drones and ballistic missiles. That seems unlikely however, and Iran’s more logical action might be to close the Strait of Hormuz to shipping, in conjunction with Ansarullah (Yemen) doing the same in the Red Sea.

Iran could potentially strike the secret CIA base in Qatar (Zekreet), or possibly the ‘secret’ CIA base at Doha Station. Qatar and Iran compete regarding the supply of natural gas to the world market, and it appears that a lesson is due to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, which might make sense for Iran… but that largely depends on the true strength of Iran’s military. The great unknown is how the former United States might react with regard to such an attack on Qatar/UAE, and based on recent Iranian leadership relations with Qatar, the foregoing seems more likely in the form of a hollow threat.

Meanwhile, US aircraft carriers have proved vulnerable in the region, and the US ‘diplomatic zone’ in Iraq is vulnerable as well. Al-Asad Airbase might prove a tempting target for Iran (again), but Rubio said the US knew nothing about the planning or conduct of Israel’s attack. (Of course, as above, Rubio lied.) And ultimately it was the so-called “Jewish state” that attacked Iran pre-emptively while the US laughingly now maintains “plausible deniability.”

If Iran does not retaliate versus Israel right away, one tactic could be to appeal to the UN, cite article 51, and then solicit protection from Russia and/or China, from Israeli aggression. But such a move will look weak. Israel has never complied with any of the hundred+ UN resolutions passed against it [1] … so why should Iran appeal to the UN now?

If the IRGC decides against closing the Strait of Hormuz and opts for military action, then that action must have immediate effect — or very soon — in tandem with a declaration of war versus Israel. For Iran, any such strike must be far more effective and more comprehensive than Iran’s strike of October 1st, 2024, to potentially deter the destruction that the west has planned for Iran for many decades.

Six years ago I wrote, Why the United States Will Not Attack Iran and left out the caveat that Israel will do so instead. With the focus on what Iran will do now in the face of Israeli aggression, it is overlooked that the hegemon may have just made its last and most egregious error. .. the last of many?

Of course, the western hegemonic cannot and will not “conquer” Iran. The hegemon can only do what it always does: create failed states to exploit. Just as the west has done in: Afghanistan. Cuba, Korea, Vietnam. Laos, Cambodia, Chile (1973), El Salvador. Nicaragua, Panama, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Ghana, Iraq, Syria. Gaza, Yemen. Guatemala… and the Ukraine. The west cares about nothing other than mammon and hubris, and has been content to create failed states.  We shall see whether the US/Israel can do the historic same in Iran… or whether this will be Empire’s last gasp before an epic and much needed fall…

[1] Arguably one exception relates to the assassination of Folke Bernadotte Count of Wisborg, by radical extremist “jewish” Zionist terrorists in 1948, when Israel paid a paltry sum to his widow by UN resolution. However Israel still refused to admit its responsibility for Bernadotte’s murder. https://www.un.org/unispal/document/auto-insert-178849/
