I can’t find the article, but I know the book & have seen that interview in full. Wish Chris Hedges was wrong, but he isn’t, corporations, the 1% etc have exploited & devoured the 99%. But I think Chris Hedges is wrong about Trump as US president, as business man, I don’t know enough details.

Instead of the 70’s the decline started with the Kennedy assassination. Johnson supersized the war in Vietnam to make the MIC happy and then created the Great Society that depleted the coffers for political profit. Leading to the US going off the Gold Standard or declare Bankruptcy.
Hedges is just another Liberal apologizer that will look for any excuse to pass off the blame.
