I could have answered: “Because you are suicidal”.
No-one should trust the collective West with their assets anymore – least of all the Bank of England. Crooks and robbers, all of them. Germany got its gold back from the UK, the USA and France but it took many years. Venezuela will never get it back unless they develop some leverage over the West. Disheartening.
