MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi reaffirmed at a Monday meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York that there is no alternative to a political and diplomatic solution to the crisis around North Korea, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
“Foreign ministers exchanged views on topical issues of the global and regional agenda with an emphasis on N. Korea and Syria and confirmed the mutual opinion that there is no alternative to the settlement of all problems exclusively by political and diplomatic means,”
the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
