Red Pill Man of the Week
Nigel Farage has been promising an earthquake in European Parliament elections and this past week he delivered big time! In short, Farage was the name and face for change in Europe; a Europe that has been exhausted by austerity, bank haircuts, and widespread poverty. The European Union economic and democratic experiment has turned into a totalitarian nightmare, and Farage’s Ukip party may just be the change Europeans have been waiting for.
Ukip performed powerfully across the UK, marking the first time in modern history that neither Labour nor the Conservatives won a British national election. Farage not only crushed the competition, he warned of more change on the way predicting that, “we may well see one party leader forced out of his position and another to reconsider his policy of opposition to a referendum on Europe, and David Cameron will have to take a much tougher negotiating stance. It is now not beyond the bounds of possibility that we hold the balance of power in another hung parliament.”
To put things in perspective, twenty years ago, in its first European election, Ukip managed 1% of the vote. Last week under Farage’s leadership they grabbed close to 28%. He predicted it in 2010 and made it happen in 2014…that’s red pill.
He is the King of the NBA, and until he stops leading his Miami Heat to NBA Final appearances he will remain the most red pill baller around. This week, James and Co. disposed of the Thunder in OT to make their fourth consecutive finals appearance.
They go up against the Spurs once more, in a repeat of last year’s finals, and while San Antonio will try to dethrone James in a best of seven series, smart men will place their bets on Lebron and his ability to keep collecting the hardware. There’s a reason the man wears red.
What’s $2 billion to a man worth north of $16 billion? Not much given the fact that ex-Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer bought the L.A. Clippers this week for a record breaking $2 billion price tag. Just a few weeks earlier the Milwaukee Bucks sold for $550 million, making “bad boy” Ballmer’s purchase very rich indeed.
From selling Windows XP to owning the second best team in L.A. Rumor has it that the Clippers will be introducing the MS Office “Clippy” mascot next season…that would make the purchase fitting indeed.
Julian Assange and his Wikileaks site this week revealed that Afghanistan was victim state X in the NSA’s domestic and international phone call mass recording and storing operation. Going against the decision taken by Glenn Greenwald to not disclose the second country (after the Bahamas) that was being hadooped by the NSA, Assange continued to defy the global powers from within his London, Ecuadorian Embassy “home”.
While fellow whistleblower Greenwald refused to disclose that Afghanistan was victim X, citing his belief that the information would put lives at risk and cause more death and suffering, Wikileaks and Assange tore Greenwald’s rationale to shreds with the following statement…“We do not believe it is the place of media to ‘aid and abet’ a state in escaping detection and prosecution for a serious crime against a population,” Assange’s statement read. “Consequently WikiLeaks cannot be complicit in the censorship of victim state X. The country in question is Afghanistan.”
Snowden has become quite the little thorn in Obama and the NSA’s side. This week Snowden granted Brian Williams’ NBC News an exclusive interview, and the entire event was electric. The web is still trying to get inside the head of this young man and understand his motivation for exposing his former boss’s unconstitutional indiscretions.
Not only did Snowden reveal that he was indeed a trained spy and not some nerdy programmer, but Snowden also called out his former NSA crony superiors for their disregard and cover up of his internal emails and documented concerns which detailed his disgust with the overreach and spying activities levied on an unknowing American public.
Oh and this week Oliver Stone announced he will direct the NSA whistleblowing film of Edward Snowden.
Blue Pill Man of the Week
From oligarch billionaire confectionary manufacturer, to Ukraine’s new President elect, to full out dictator puppet and mass murderer. That summed up Mr. Petro Poroshenko’s week in a nutshell.
Running on a platform of country unity and dialogue should he win, Mr. Poroshenko promised that his first day in office would be dedicated to a trip to East Ukriane in order to sit down with anti-Kiev protestors and start mending fences.
Not only did he neg on his word, but Poroshenko decided to bomb the hell out of East Ukraine in what has become the bloodiest assault yet in the country. The fact that the new President started his term with the sanctioning of countrymen killing countrymen, warrants a blue pill of the week award in and of itself, but Poroshenko really stands out due to the fact that he has surrendered all control of his nation to Victoria Nuland and the neocon war machine. Western powers are now running the show, as they continue to try and bait Russia into intervening in order to start an all out war on European soil.
Since taking office, Kiev’s military operation in Eastern Ukraine has left 181 people killed, including 59 of ruling regime troops, and 293 injured, according to the country’s Prosecutor General with innocent civilians in Lugansk, Slayansk and Donetsk taking the brunt of the assault.
Congratualtions Mr. Poroshenko for unleashing hell in your country, killing the very people you should be protecting, and selling out your nation’s future to the U.S. State Department’s game of global chicken. A dictator in the mold of Pinochet has been born and his name is Petro Poroshenko, our blue pill “man” of the week.
