Following this theme, Russia should supply Cuba with long range weapons, provided that they give similar “assurances” that they will not be used on the US.

The Flag is not Belgian Alex. The black panel should be at the mast end, not on the fly for the Belgian flag. The only flag with those 3 colours in that configuration, red, yellow, and black, is the flag of Besançon in France.

What could happen is that the HIMARS are placed right on the northwestern border with Poland so that any Russian overshoot would land in Poland causing NATO responses. Would Russia try to take these HIMARS out and risk the manditory NATO intervention? These HIMARS would be a huge threat to Belarus as they could easily and surreptitiously be reloaded via Poland and shot into Belarus. Would Ukraine blackmail Russia with this threat to Belarus? This would put Russia in the position of either giving back land to Ukraine, or having southern Belarus shot to pieces. US/NATO could blame it all… Read more »

Let me give a different interpretation of this statement.

“We do not want to prolong the war just for the purpose of inflicting more pain on Russia.”

This makes it less provactive and confrontational than the other interpretation.
