The Iranians have been betrayed by their Western leaning politicians who foolishly, again and again, believe the American lies. Why they continually fall for this ruse is beyond me.
This should be an object lesson for Putin.
There is Domestic Policy and there is Foreign Policy. Rare or nonexistent is the Nation with leaders who get them both right.
Neither Israel, or the US can fight a protracted war. If Iran has the will to see this through, they will be able to deal a defeat to Israel. They should be able to occupy western Iraq, and eastern Syria, which is close enough to launch FPV drone attacks into Israel. Hezbollah is already established in Syria, and together they could defeat Israel in southern Syria. Trump has badly screwed himself, by siding with Israel in this war. So on Truth Social Trump says he’s given Iran chance after chance. To do what? When I last looked, Iran was a sovereign state and therefore the US has no business poking its nose into the affairs of the former and telling its government what to do.
