Trump, has painted himself into a corner. He would like to try some kind of publicity stunt and claim victory as he did in Venezuela going into the November elections. His approval rating is below 40% now. But Trump is beginning to realize that Iran’s military power is not comparable to Venezuela’s. The attempt to cause regime change by instigating violent riots at the start of the year has failed. The networks that caused them are being rolled up. Iran has promised all-out war if USreal attacks Iran again. It can flatten Israel, wipe out all US bases in the region and sink the US armada. There would immediately be thousands of American soldiers coming back in body bags. The Straits of Hormuz would be closed, blocking about a third of the world oil supply. The bond and stock markets would crash worse than 1929. Trump would be better off if he just declared victory and pulled the armada out, something like he did with Yemen.
