how come both alex’s are staunchly anti-globalist except when it involves successful parties from the left, at which point they always switch and start talkiing exclusively about macron and utterly ignore the left — NUpes programme is actually very anti globalist and anti NATO and supportive of the working class — its a good platform and its interesting that you guys never mention it
Alexander lost some brownie points for me, when he praised Thatcher’s government, a bunch of facists who devastated the UK from lands end to John o groats, communities where trashed, coal mines shut down ( and not for any earth warming ) revenge was the motive, Thatcher said there was no such a thing as society, and she tried to prove it by creating poverty. for ordinary workers who she hated.
it may have to do with the fact that the word “left” is understood to mean different things to different people. What is the point of Syria having those wonder weapons ( S400 ) assuming they have them. if they are not allowed ( by Russia ) to use them to defend their territory from the Nazi Israel.
