Ukraine first has to have an air force to deliver these weapons. Any foreign bases, or foreign jets loaded with them, will be obliterated. Hope those American pilots have their insurance paid up. Gonna be a lot of familial survivors getting compensated.

Given the long-term destructive effects of these bombs and their extreme danger to civilian populations for years after a war has ended, I’m guessing this decision signals the recognition on the part of the West that Ukraine has lost the war, so they’re doing what the Nazis did in WW2 when they were forced to abandon an area: using a scorched earth policy.
