A federal party leader and former member of Parliament has been released, according to his lawyers, after his arrest in rural Manitoba Friday. People’s Party of Canada Leader Maxime Bernier, who is currently on what he has dubbed the “Mad Max Manitoba Tour,” was holding rallies in several rural Manitoba towns starting Friday and was planning to move onto Winnipeg Saturday.

If I were a Canadian voter, this would be enough to cause me to vote for Bernier, no matter what he may stand for. The need to have this kind of unlawful power grab backfire on those behind it would be a paramount reason to vote for the oppressed party, just as a warning to stop this already and to respect the law and Constitution.

Thus, I was relieved of the expenditure of energy required to walk over to the nearest wall – I could simply pick up the brick and bash it against me head instead of walking to the wall and bashing my head against it.
