Usually in geopolitics, we like to dwell on the negative – how bad this person or that person is, the evil hegemony of the United States, the awful nature of Israel, Zelensky, etc., etc,
Our job as geopolitical journalists is certainly to cover this. But there is another side, all too easily forgotten – that being about the people on the ground in any of our favorite topic nations du jour. How they be is often very different from the intrigues and lies of the People In Charge, and I wanted to collect some impressions.
I have been in the United States since June 27. My travels have taken me to the Tampa area in Florida, and across Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and far western Texas. My snapshot is probably narrow, but this was by choice, focused on the people and places I know in these areas, and learning a lot about new people that my friends and relatives here know.
My general takeaway about the USA is that its people are great, but deluded, frustratingly so, and that there is still far, far too much influence from the mainstream media in this country, which has a very strong propaganda lock on the information most Americans believe or accept as true.
The video below is a little disjointed – it happens, as I was in one of the most beautiful places I could ever be – but hopefully the discussion will be useful.
We have work to do. A whole LOT of very good people are simply being fed bad information, and they do not know their right hand from their left in terms of geopolitical realities. It is important to remember this.

Oh, yes, sure I am interested. There was a bit with a “debate” between Candace Owens and a Rabbi Shmuley or something like that on Piers Morgan. The Rabbi was totally “attack dog” and unhinged, even Piers could not control him. I have always resisted “the Jews….” because usually the people writing about them are – shall we say – uncivilized? in the way they critique them. I think “Brainwashed” is more appropriate and “ignorant”. If Americans were shown the Truth, instead of lies 24/7, then they would vouch for the Truth. The Media is totally controlled in the U.S. and the U.S. is so big, that people can drive for Days and still be in the U.S.. Then you drive North and you get to America light, you drive South and you’re in a Narco State. My mother passed away in 2000. Many years earlier, while discussing politics, she stated out of the blue: “all bad things come from America”. Do they ever.
It is such a shame, too, Vera. America itself – her people (at least the ones I know) are very good people and would never wish personally to bring bad things to the rest of the world. The key here I think is the massive disconnect between our Deep State and our people, and it is the fault of every single one of us as Americans, for allowing anybody to “take care of us.” They are.
Your Mother’s insight was shortsighted.
