Popular progressive political commentator Cenk Uygur is running for Democratic California Rep. Katie Hill’s seat, who resigned amid scandal in October after allegations she slept with a congressional staffer and a campaign staffer, and nude photographs of her surfaced.
But “The Young Turks” star founder is already finding himself at the center of bizarre controversy involving past statements he made over bestiality during a live program, causing Sen. Bernie Sanders to retract his highly sought after endorsement a mere day after announcing it.
In a Young Turks segment from 2013, he talks about how “hot” women from the Dominican are in somewhat typical remarks of his over the years that fellow progressives have lambasted him as sexist for. But then the segment took an insane turn. “Here comes the controversial part I shouldn’t say,” Uygur said, according to the resurfaced video. “I believe that if I were the benevolent dictator of the world, I would legalize bestiality where you are giving, you are pleasuring the animal.”

This comment is sure to win him a seat given California’s constituency.
Sanders retracting his support is typical of mainstream politicians, a wrong statement will get your ass canned, but if you vote and advertise a war or criminal sanctions, you’re hailed as a hero.

If you’re a politician in favor of war and state sponsored terrorism, you’re hailed as a respectable politician and champion of “human rights” by the establishment.

Morality is equal wealth, equal power and equal desire to protect nature. And so,
to be moral one must be a pacifist vegetarian with no more wealth than the poor.
And as seven billion sinners now cause the one billion least intelligent humans to suffer death by starvation, modern Christianity is a fake morality, Not so the early Christians, as they were all pacifist vegetarians who made a vow of poverty.
As Alex Christoforou does not have the socialist credentials to ever be recommended by Bernie Sanders, let us hold our opinion on this apparent slander until Cenk Uygur has his say.
It isn’t slander if it’s a citation.
Not to unnecessarily disparage Turks but it’s fairly well known that this has been a ridiculed part of Turkish culture for eons. He should have known better than to joke about it outside of those aware of such peculiarities. Americans in general register on a world awareness scale at about 1.5, yet insist on registering on a world control scale at about 9.5. Who can’t see major trouble ahead with such statistics?
I haven’t seen the original instance, but this was my immediate gut reaction as well, probably a jest taken out of context, in which case, the accuser is the one that ends up looking stupid. (And yes, I realize its not the Duran making it, but nonetheless, you want to be careful piggybacking on this sort of stuff, the smell sticks.)
Never resurfaces as the story was never laid to rest. Cenk still gets reminded on YT repeatedly.
Just looked up the video in question, always disliked him when I saw him on RT, but I now have a newfound respect for him. GREAT deadpan sendup, almost “Trumpian” in his delivery, hilarious. Nice job Cenk!
The sad fact is, in this post-modernist world, 99% of the clueless, brain-dead, semi-literate virtue-signaling proles have no CLUE when their chains are being yanked, even when theres an OBVIOUS “nudge, nudge, wink, wink”.
