To anyone familiar with WW2, it sounds odd to hear Azov referred to as the “fire brigade”. Hitler’s fire brigade consisted of the elite Waffen-SS divisions and the Grossdeutschland division of the Heer. They were magnificently equipped with the long 88 mm and 75 mm guns in various vehicles, and could knock out Soviet tanks almost as soon as they came into sight.
