Regarding Alexanders comments on the next in line for acting President of Ukraine if Zelensky steps down, I believe it would be Ruslan Stefanchuk who is the current Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament). At the time of Euromaidan, the Rada illegally instituted changes in Ukraine’s constitution which made the Chairman of the Rada the acting successor to the role of President of Ukraine when this role became prematurely “vacated”. Turchinov was elected Chairman of Rada on 22 Feb 2014 and thus became the acting President of Ukraine until elections were held later that year bringing Poroshenko to power.… Read more »
