Why Russian Ruble and Oil Price Are Now Split

The oil price and the ruble have been fixed for years, now they have diverged. It’s been the situation for many years that the Russian ruble and the Dollar price of oil moved in opposite directions, if oil went up the ruble value to the dollar went up. Rhod Mackenzie looks at how the situation has changed.
