WHO declares international health emergency over coronavirus outbreak

The World Health Organization has declared a “public health emergency of international concern” over the outbreak of the 2019nCoV, or the Wuhan coronavirus. The international body didn’t recommend travel and trade restrictions.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called the coronavirus “a previously unknown pathogen, which has escalated into an unprecedented outbreak” at a press conference on Thursday, but said the WHO was not recommending restrictions of trade or travel with China, where the virus originated.

Tedros pointed out that the declaration was “not a vote of no confidence in China,” but made out of concern for other countries, with “weaker” healthcare systems.

China’s response to the outbreak has been “very impressive,” the WHO chief added. “So is China’s commitment to transparency and to supporting other countries.”

China is actually setting a new standard for outbreak response.

While the majority of coronavirus cases have been registered in China, the WHO confirmed there were 98 confirmed cases elsewhere in the world – including eight cases of direct transmission in Germany, Japan, Vietnam and the US.

The “vast majority” of cases outside of China have either traveled to Wuhan or been in contact with someone who has, the WHO officials noted.

“The only way we will defeat this outbreak is for all countries to work together in a spirit of solidarity and cooperation,” Tedros said. “We are all in this together, and we can only stop it together.”

Coronavirus is the unofficial name of the pathogen, which the WHO is referring to by its interim name, 2019-nCoV. The condition caused by it is being called “2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease.”

Does WHO know who planted that virus in China?

sometimes the term, ‘act of god’ does have validity Olivia, regardless the gods you do or don’t believe. Take the outbreak for what it is, a hidden danger that has now come to the fore and that no one saw coming.

Sorry, Cudwieser, I still believe that some “saw the virus coming” or rather “going” more clearly than others, who were completely taken by surprise. This is why I am asking WHO, who planted the virus in China. Of all places: CHINA! China is about to overtake the western economies, so this virus comes handy and just in time to push China down again. A very pleasant virus for some people, a deadly one for others.

“I believe” wow, that’s a rock-solid line of reasoning there, VERY convincing. Sorry Cudwieser, but based on this new “evidence”, I will have to re-evaluate my position, as Olivia “believes”…

I’m more willing to face a problem for what it is and find solution for the general fall out and work back to a sorce. One thing I’ve learned in life is that there are plenty of shadows to chase and inveriably you will stare one down eventually, but if you don’t contain the fall out first you give too many opportunities for the problem to evade resolution imo.

Its possible, (there is some evidence for H1N1, so one could claim a precedent exists) the simple truth is, there’s no where NEAR enough information to make a fact-based claim that this is an “engineered attack”. But a lack of facts won’t stop many Duran regulars from making all sorts of claims.
I would say its not beyond the realm of possibility that this is has been engineered, but faced with a lack of any clear evidence AT THIS TIME, the default position would rightfully be “act of God”.

It’s somewhat far-fetched but the timing is odd suspicious and for some forces very convenient.

Indeed, Brokenspine, very convenient timing of the virus and also the previous Hongkong “protests”. Some outside forces don’t like China to be successful and healthy.

China population: 1.39 BILLION. China 2019-nCoV deaths: under 250.
US population: 327 million. “The latest FluView surveillance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that as of January 18, 2020, there have been 15 million cases of flu, 140,000 hospitalizations, and 8200 deaths in the US this influenza season.” Why the collective global freakout over a bad flu virus in China? What am I missing?

Indeed, lots of shouts about China. Those that planted the virus there want to be sure the world knows about it, only God knows why!

What I find interesting about the global hysteria right now, is how coordinated the media have been across so many countries to generate it: the US, the UK, all the EU countries: all the corporate media marching in lockstep to crank up the fear factor. It’s equally astonishing how so many ridiculous videos on social media purporting to relate to the virus are being disseminated by corporate media. “In October 2019, the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security hosted a pandemic tabletop exercise called Event 201 with partners, the World Economic Forum and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Recently,… Read more »

Looks like Johns Hopkins hired some of the same specialists that work on climate change computer models…

Indeed, RR! Coordinated planting of virus in China, coordinated global hysteria of main stream media. As we can clearly see again, the western secret services and the western mainstream media work hand in hand, or shall we say ‘hand in glove’.

This “coronavirus” probably originated in a US bio-weapons lab at USAMIID at Fort Deitrick, as part of US “trade war” against China.

A very interesting twitter thread by Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding, a public health scientist and epidemiologist, including scientific paper refs. One quote from the thread (begun on 1/27 but continuing):

“Again, these are new express published findings and not peer reviewed yet. Let’s not draw conclusions yet. But evidence suggests that 2 different HIV genes are present in the #coronarvirus S gene region (that didn’t map to any other coronavirus, according to other studies).”

Always good to see a post that actually adds some interesting well-reasoned questions, as opposed to opinions presented as fact, “supported” by “because I think so”…

Thank you Mr Martin that thread is very interesting indeed. I think this cannot be a bioweapon. It really did come from bats. The interesting question, for me, is why bats harbour all these extremely dangerous viruses and don’t get sick. Their immune systems are clearly working just as they should be. Ours are not.

If you read the original paper that came from, it’s a bit of a nothingbuger. It’s like finding a short sequence of words in a book, e.g. “they have had” and then looking to see what other books you can find this sequence in: a lot. They mentioned the HIV, they could have equally mentioned dozens of others.

The Flu kills 650,000 people annually and no one seems to consider that an emergency.

Exactly. That is why when an “emergency” is needed, it will be generated. The only questions are: who benefits? — and whether we want to participate and continue living out their emergencies. I feel close to reaching my limit…

I listen to your latest Duran live stream your discussing the Corona virus. It all appear quite suspicious.
Of course mote people will find this kind of woo but I find this quite interesting and plausible – fals flag – where the “quickly” developed vaccine will be the real killer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cd0sDMyCGa8&feature=em-uploademail
