There was a arson attack on the power supply in Berlin last weekend and some parts of Berlin have been without electricity and heat- it took til today before all people had access to electricity and heat again- unfortunately for German politicians there was a letter of concession by a group that called itself the Vulkangruppe which belongs to the left extrem side of the political spectrum, so that the push for blaming Russia not worked out- but some very stubborn figures tried it anyway

It is not Russia that is the reincarnation of WW2 Germany, it is the USA, and Donald Trump.

It seems to me that a submarine is not the ideal vessel for escort duty. A submarine’s greatest asset is invisibility; as soon as potential enemies know its exact position it is in great jeopardy. Both Russia and China (especially China) have large fleets of small surface vessels that would be ideal. China’s fleet is now significantly bigger than the US Navy.

Nuclear-powered submarines have very long range, limited only by running out of nuclear fuel.

In any confrontation over “sanctioned” ships the USA is under a huge handicap: its “sanctions” have no legal force. They are simply a wish by the US government; and other governments are under no obligation to comply. In fact they might well tell Washington go pound sand.

Aleppo crisis is interesting. Kurdish SDF will claim the west has abandoned them, but the Kurd-SDF is a political pawn played only when necessary. And Israel, having somewhat achieved its immediate Greater Israel goals in Syria, no longer must leverage the Kurd proxy vs the now-vanished Assad and SAA. Meanwhile Trump and his Neocons may improve relations with Turkey by allowing the Kurds to be smoked as necessary, as is their historic lot. If only Ben Gvir was among them.

That ship is called the Marinera, not the Bella 1, and the US has just seized it.
