Mr Mercouris’ calm, reasonable style of talking may sound boring in this age of violent amusements and short attention spans. But if you listen, you will notice that what he is saying makes a lot of sense and is also quite informative.

Mr Mercouris says that the Western states have learned nothing. I find that statement rather provocative, in that it misses not one but two important points. The people making decisions on behalf of Western states are in no way representatives of those nations’ citizens or even their interests. And I am sure they have learned a great deal. They simply don’t care. While the current policies, if pursued further, will continue to do terrible harm to the Western states themselves, they yield considerable benefits to the ruling elites and their friends and allies. Hard for any self respecting military — in this instance the Russian Military, which is exceptionally thoughtful in their treatment of the Ukraine male POW’s — to fight against an army of female soldiers! Actually, its heart breaking …
The US and UK are showing their governments are ruled primarily by their racism in the Gaza conflict. There is no way in hell these governments would stand for this kind of humanitarian disaster if the people of Gaza were white. It is pure racism, plain and clear.
