If the Americans try to blockade China by sea they will be in for some nasty surprises. The Chinese navy now has the largest fleet in the world, and what is more it is much more modern than the USA’s. They have a lot of small fast manoeuvrable ships with rather powerful missile armament – ideal for guarding the sea lanes against marauders of any kind. The Chinese air force is also formidable, especially close to home.
