I’m so sorry for Mr. Mercouris.

There goes his cherished fantasy-illusion of a ukraine-russia war.

Time to go home, scholoviks. Your drushinas are waiting. And the kids, too.

Yes Russia would win in very short shrift. As far as calling on NATO that just might be a bit of a problem, because NATO has only ever won when they are the only ones with air power. So they just bomb the hell out of anyone on the ground. But they can’t do this with Russia, so the NATO pilots cheering about their conquest and bravery in just dropping bombs with impunity will be put to the test.

Yes, but what’s in it for NATO ? What do they get in return for throwing away their lives and expensive war fighting equipment on behalf of the Ukrainians who have deliberately stirred up this confrontation, which they KNOW they are incapable of seeing thru ? Are the NATO nations soldiers/fliers willing to throw away their lives for a pointless exercise ?

Ukraine would be in pieces Russia would need to be occupying a state which would not be wholly impressed and the West would gleefully feed an ongoing insurgency. Russia would be isolated politically, commercially and financially. OK they would embrace other opportunities but it would be far better if they needn’t Europe (and the UK) would need to beg the Americans to be extorted for fracked LPG We would all be taxed to the hilt and money printed to pay for burgeoning weapons and… Read more »

It sounds like Putin gave everybody their last chance to clear this mess up not going to repeat it over and over.

The Ukrainians need to explain to NATO countries, and more importantly their militaries, why they should fight and die on behalf of Ukraine. What’s in it for the NATO contingent ? Seems to me it’s only Ukraine that stands to benefit from their sacrifice. Here we have Ukraine agitating, spreading lies and discord against the Russians, then when the Russians say enough, their tough vitriol turns their legs to jelly, and the cry out for NATO to come do their dirty work for them. There is a very old saying that applies in cases like this, that is “if you… Read more »
