Did the EU (and its member states with large agrarian economies) not think that a Ukraine in the European Union would be a threat to their own agricultural production? This was as true in 2014 as it is is today, yet there seems to have been no thought of this when floating the EU Association Agreement with Ukraine. Russia, for its part, understood the dangers of EU products flooding Ukraine and interfering with Russian/Ukraine trade and perhaps even flooding the Russian economy. Now it looks like EU member states have finally woken up.

The bad manners of the beneficiary of Western war aid do indeed demonstrate the worst of bad manners when complaining, and they get away with it because that is their official stance, echoed to and by the parrots, and it is the policy of the Movers thay they should do so. It’s not actually a sign of modern degeneration we see everywhere in the media. This is not how normal allies as nations would conduct themselves ever, as if it were a public campaign of extortion fought on moral grounds. Its clear neither US, UK, Ukraine government, nor the Pentagon… Read more »

They are trying to keep up Russia’s hopes as well as Ukrainian supporters, whilst the Movers hatch their secret plans.
Hatching weapons of technological superiority takes time, just like bird’s eggs do.

Medvedev, in his tweet of 20.05.23, replying to Stoltenberg’s talk about Ukraine being eventually welcome into NATO, knows that Poland is being prepared politically to walk into Kiev, and then Russia will have its border drawn by NATO at where they then stand. IN which case, Ukrainian rulers will still exist, Ukraine wont actually be defeated or neutral, and conducting their war under a moral cloak of ‘we were invaded, from the south and east’ . Perhaps Medvedev is suggesting that Russia know this, and cannot now aim to take Kiev and demilitarise Ukraine properly, so as to raise a… Read more »

AH yes, all well and good all this abject lack of strategy from amongst western leaders. But there is no office in the West charged with responsibility of (continuously) planning the war, so no strategy from them. Ostensibly it is, for the west , Ukraine who is planning for the war, and Ukraine aren’t in reality. By the that same token, there is no military outfit form the west officially advising the Ukrainian army. Ukrainian generals, supposedly in charge, themselves don’t have a command left to plan unhindered. They play only a part in adopting others’ plans, and not without… Read more »

As long as the West support Ukraine against Russia in principle, it makes no difference that the sanctions and Ukrainian army failed to hurt Russia. It doesn’t hurt the MOVERS, who retain Full political control of the West whilst this idea of Russia is the Wests’s enemy continues, and they also have in addition, a de facto war against Russia which will continue certainly as long as Ukrainian government exists in some form. They wanted that, they remain entirely happy with that, as long as they have the populations support in a fashion. The war can be escalated at any… Read more »

Regarding new economic sanctions on Russia- “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” – Albert Einstein. This begs the obvious question, will new economic sanctions on Russia be any more ‘effective’ than previous sanctions? Of course not! To me, this is the proverbial ‘village idiots convention’.
