Can’t say that I blame Putin for more or less saying that Russia, Ukraine (at least the Russian-speaking areas), and Belarus might just merge and become an enlarged country. I say that because it’s hard to see how Ukraine can remain independent, including Russian-speaking areas, without the threat of a rerun of the events that led up to this war, plus another war not much different than this one…or should I say likelihood, rather than threat.
