The Russian military has no wish to settle the SMO on any terms proposed. They’ve seen comrades killed and badly injured and their desire is to finish the fighting once all the military objectives have been met. As neither Ukraine nor the US will agree to the terms they laid down months ago, that looks the way it’s going.
