I’m not sure about that. A more pro-Western government in Turkey would have entered the Ukraine war and WW3 would have happened by now! President Putin was right to save Erdogan’s backside in 2016!
As a member of NATO, Turkey is Russia’s enemy, and the Turks have been supplying Kiev with laser-guided missiles, heavy machine guns, armoured vehicles, Bayraktar TB2 drones, electronic warfare systems and protective gear.
Sergey Lavrov also said: “Turkish weapons are used by the Ukrainian armed forces to kill Russian military personnel and civilians.”
By the way, WW3 is taking place right now. It just has not gone Nuclear yet!
If Mr Assad really did accept “assurances” from the Arab League and the West, the mystery is solved.

If Mr Zelensky really believes that Mr Biden is more important than Mr Trump, that gives us a good idea of what his practical time scales are. He’s not looking further ahead than mid-January – and he is very likely correct.
Funny how a war that the USA is losing suddenly becomes “madness”. At a low estimate, the US government has been directly responsible for well over 10 million deaths since 1945, without showing any obvious signs of regret.
Frankly, the fate of Ukraine is absolutely none of Mr Trump’s business. He should butt out.
America started this mess…America should finish it WITHOUT burdening the US tax payers.
