I would be concerned if governments were planning to restrict people’s movement. but I find it doubtful that transitioning to a green economy will require such draconian measures. BYD already has an electric car for 11,000USD and this new generation of car batteries have 1,000 mile ranges. EVs will become far cheaper to produce than ICE vehicles simply because technology is improving at an exponential rate and EVs have far fewer moving/mechanical parts than ICE vehicles.
