1. The war started on 24 February 2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine.

This lie is essential to The West’s lies that Russia was the aggressor, and that Ukraine is the defender against aggression, in this war. It’s easy to prove that the allegation IS a lie, because the war in Ukraine started in 2014, as both NATO’s Stoltenberg and Ukraine’s Zelensky have said; and the U.S. Government started it by a coup in February 2014, which installed a rabidly anti-Russian government in Ukraine next-door to it; but Russia responded militarily on 24 February 2022 to that U.S. grab of Ukraine next door to Russia, in order to prevent Ukraine from allowing the U.S. to place a missile there a mere 317 miles or five minutes of missile-flying-time away from The Kremlin and thus too brief for Russia to respond before its central command would already be beheaded by America’s nuclear strike. Sometimes, this truth that the war DIDN’T start on 24 February 2022 but eight years before slips through, though unintentionally, in Western ‘news’-reports, such as the Financial Times on 21 January 2024, headlining “Kyrylo Budanov: the Ukrainian military spy chief who ‘likes the darkness’”, about the man whom Zelensky wanted to appoint as Ukraine’s Defense Minister and Commander-In-Chief to replace General Zaluzhny in those posts (but Biden wouldn’t allow that) was characterized there as being a hero, “A former special forces soldier who fought in the Donbas in 2014, Budanov has himself taken part in secret missions, including in the occupied Crimean peninsula. His body bears the scars: shrapnel from an anti-personnel mine once struck near his heart, nearly killing him; he has broken both his neck and back; and he has been shot in the arm.” But, obviously, if Budanov was fighting in Ukraine’s war at that time, then that war didn’t start when Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February 2022 — and all of the propagandists’ claims to the contrary that it DID (such as virtually all U.S.-and-allied ‘news’-reporting on that war) are baldfaced lies. So, despite the “Rumors Ukrainian General Zaluzhny Will Soon be Fired — Replaced by GRU’s Budanov”, it didn’t happen; and, though “Zelensky tries to overthrow Biden protégé: what will happen if the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny, is fired?”, the U.S. Government remained in control of Ukraine, and Zelensky still needs to obey it in order to have any realistic chance to be protected by the U.S. Government. According to the U.S. Government and its agents and allies, the war in Ukraine was started by “Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine in 2022” and by “Russia’s illegal and unprovoked war against Ukraine” — but it’s all lies, which are needed in order to fool the public in U.S.-and-‘allied’ countries to support sending yet more weapons to Ukraine (for profits to those armaments-makers). (By contrast: Russia’s armaments-makers are still Government-controlled, not controlled by any billionaires.)

2. Ukraine was a dictatorship before Yanukovych was overthrown in February 2014, and it became a democracy from that time forward.

The President whom Obama overthrew in Ukraine in 2014 had been democratically elected in 2010, and what Obama installed right after the coup was a dictatorship, which started the war in southeastern Ukraine in the areas that had voted over 75% for him (Crimea), and over 90% for him (in Donbass). Ukraine started that war so as to be able to ‘democratically’ continue their rabidly anti-Russian government, able to do so because millions of the Yanukovych voters — voters who wanted Ukraine to remain neutral as between the U.S. and Russia — now became either dead or else gone fleeing from Ukraine into Russia. During 2003-2009, only around 20% of Ukrainians had wanted NATO membership, while around 55% opposed it. In 2010, Gallup found that whereas 17% of Ukrainians considered NATO to mean “protection of your country,” 40% said it’s “a threat to your country.” Ukrainians predominantly saw NATO as an enemy, not a friend. But after Obama’s February 2014 Ukrainian coup, “Ukraine’s NATO membership would get 53.4% of the votes, one third of Ukrainians (33.6%) would oppose it.” However, afterward, the support for joining NATO averaged around 45% — still over twice as high as had been the case prior to the coup. The U.S. Government also commissioned especially intensive polling of Crimeans, both before the 2014 coup, and, yet again, soon after the coup and also after the plebiscite in Crimea in which over 90% of the voters had opted for Crimea to change back to being again a part of Russia (as it had been until 1954); and, on both occasions, both before and after, what Gallup reported there was likewise that around ten times as many Crimeans said that they wanted to be a part of Russia as opposed to being a part of Ukraine; and, in the after-poll, likewise about 90% said that the plebiscite’s voting percentages (around 90% being for Russia) were credible and reasonable. So: the dictatorship in Ukraine was introduced by Obama, and both Democrats and Republicans in Congress have been overwhelmingly in favor of continuing Ukraine to remain a U.S. colony (‘ally’) and to remain our chief beach-head against and to conquer Russia; but now, most Republicans in the U.S. House have reversed on that and see political advantage in portraying the war in Ukraine as being a war by the Democratic Party, and maybe even as being worth their sacrificing their continuing financial support from America’s weapons-manufacturing corporations, whose controlling owners have for decades now been controlling both Parties in the U.S. Government. The 2024 U.S. Presidential contest might turn out to be largely over that issue, of whether to continue Ukraine’s war against Russia.

3. The U.S. leads ‘the democratic West’ against ‘dictatorships’ such as China and Russia.

‘Western democracy’ is fake; but even worse than that: both China and even Russia overall score as being democratic more than do the U.S. and its colonies such as the EU, Japan, and even South Korea. Not ONLY is the U.S. the sole country that has been analyzed extensively by political scientists to determine whether it is a democracy (representing the majority of its public: its citizens not its dollars) or instead being an aristocracy (representing the majority of its personal wealth: representing the nation’s privately held dollars, not its citizens); and, in all instances, it has been found to be a dictatorship by its super-rich: an aristocracy, NOT a democracy; but, also, in all of the multinational international polls of the citizens within large numbers of countries so that the findings can be compared between the countries that have been polled, not ONLY does the U.S. show as being more considered by its own citizens to be NOT a democracy than is the case in the international average of countries, but ALSO each of America’s colonies (‘allies’) shows likewise as having a majority of its citizens believing that they do NOT live in a democracy. And, furthermore, China DEFINITELY shows a vastly higher percentage of its public than is the case for the average country believing that they live in a democracy; and, also — but less consistently — Russians too give their leadership higher percentages of the public believing their leadership represents the majority of the public than is the case in the average of all countries. SO: overall, what the data show with remarkable consistency is: that The West represents dictatorships, whereas the two main countries that they claim are dictatorships are, in fact, democracies.

Investigative historian Eric Zuesse’s latest book, AMERICA’S EMPIRE OF EVIL: Hitler’s Posthumous Victory, and Why the Social Sciences Need to Change, is about how America took over the world after World War II in order to enslave it to U.S.-and-allied billionaires. Their cartels extract the world’s wealth by control of not only their ‘news’ media but the social ‘sciences’ — duping the public.

Eric, as usual, you article is lucid and correct. To be honest, it amazes me that the “average Joe” either does not read or does not remember what was plain fact when Victoria Nuland pulled her “Fugg Eyrope” stunt of the Maidan coup.
