You just started and you’ve already lost me when you declare that “the U.S. was taken by surprise by the Japanese attack.” If you believe that, then you need to forget about trying to tell us “about everything” and go back and study some more. I found two things he missed or got wrong. First and most important he said the US was surprised by the attack on Pearl Harbor which I think is incorrect. The US in my opinion provoked that attack, they froze all Japanese assets in the US to provoke the attack. They did it because they needed Japan to attack them since over 50% of the US population was against joining war, after the attack they had a few millions volunteers for the army who wanted to join the fight and over 50% of the population wanted to join war. I like that he mentions the private public conflict, the strength of nazi influence, favouring rightest govts and a war against even a slightly left govt like the Scandinavians.
To resolve these issues is crucial for a future civilisation that welcomes the diversity and potential of humanity.
