Israel has always considered Israelis take hostage by the other side as the most inconvenient things in the Universe, and has a policy of killing them before they can be taken hostage – I’ve forgotten what they call it – but that has been used to explain why most of the 1700(??) killed on 7 October were mostly killed by the IDF.
Iran WILL make them pay – but probably in an indirect fashion. But they will hurt the US in some way, somehow. Probably economically – big time. The US neocons are too desensitised to war and violence. But an economic disaster would frighten them.
