Why didn’t Israel see this coming? Gee, maybe it was too busy bombing the sh*t out of Syria to notice. Israel is no victim here, but they’ll milk it for all it’s worth. As for more US support for Israel — it’s more than sickening that the US starts or ignores oppression all over the world, then we tax payers have to impoverish ourselves to bail out the oppressors.

Hmmm. Are you sure you got those figures right?
Critical context Israel has held the 2 million Palestinians of Gaza under siege since 2007, blocking access to medical supplies, medicine, food, and many other staples. The people of Gaza staged a 20-month nonviolent protest against Israel from March 2018 till the beginning of the Covid pandemic in December 2020 – and were met with Israeli snipers and airstrikes that killed hundreds (NOTE: read about this protest, called the Great March of Return, here). Isn’t $13 BILLION DOLLARS A DAY in Our Tax Money enough??
Why should the US have any responsibility to Israel? Even the toothless UN has passed Resolutions condemning Israel’s land grabs and the evidence of its ruthlessness towards the Palestinian people appears every day. Indeed, hardly a week goes by without there being some totally unwarranted incursion into the Gaza Strip with people killed and others made homeless by being thrown out of the homes in which their families have lived for generations.
I can only applaud Hamas and wish them well in their endeavours to throw off the choke-hold Israel has over Palestine.
